Noolaguide.com (“Noolaguide,” “we,” “us”) is a static, read-only editorial publication covering small kitchen appliances. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why, who we share it with, and the rights you have. We designed the site to collect as little personal data as possible: there is no account, no login, no newsletter, and no marketing list.

This policy is written to meet the requirements of the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA/CPRA), and the disclosure standards of the affiliate programs and networks we participate in.

Who is responsible for your data

Noolaguide is an independent consumer-product research publication operated in the United States. For any privacy request or question, contact us at hello@noolaguide.com. For the purposes of GDPR, Noolaguide acts as the data controller for the limited data described below.

Summary

We do not require registration and do not collect names, passwords, or account data.
We do not sell or share your personal information, and we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals.
We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic, and affiliate links that let retailers and networks attribute a referral to us.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing.

What data is collected

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate, de-identified site usage — the pages visited, approximate geographic region (country/region level), device and browser type, and referral source. IP addresses are truncated/anonymized by the analytics provider before storage, and we have disabled any advertising or cross-site features. This helps us decide which guides to write and improve. Google processes this data as described in Google’s Privacy Policy.

Server logs. The site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel retains standard server logs (request URL, IP address, user agent, timestamp) for a limited period for security, abuse-prevention, and diagnostic purposes. These are governed by Vercel’s Privacy Policy.

Affiliate tracking. Noolaguide earns commissions when readers purchase through the affiliate links on our pages, at no additional cost to you. We participate in the Amazon Associates Program and in affiliate networks such as Impact.com, and we may add additional retailers and affiliate networks over time. When you click an affiliate link, the retailer or network may set cookies or use similar attribution technologies to credit the resulting visit or purchase to Noolaguide. These third parties collect and process data under their own privacy policies; Noolaguide does not receive personally identifiable information about you as part of these programs, only aggregate commission and click reporting.

Contact. If you email us, we receive the contents of that message and your email address, which we use solely to respond. We do not add you to any list.

What data is NOT collected

No account registration, login, profile, or password data.
No email addresses or contact-form submissions stored on Noolaguide’s own infrastructure.
No advertising pixels, retargeting, or cross-site behavioral tracking operated by Noolaguide.
No sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
No collection of sensitive personal information, and no data knowingly collected from children.

Cookies and tracking technologies

Noolaguide does not set first-party advertising cookies. The categories that may apply are:

Essential — none required beyond what the hosting platform needs to serve the page securely.
Analytics — Google Analytics may set cookies to measure aggregate usage. Where required by law, these are used on the basis of consent, and you may decline them without losing access to any content.
Affiliate attribution — when you click an outbound affiliate link, the destination retailer or network (e.g., Amazon, Impact.com) may set cookies on their domain to attribute a purchase. These are governed by that third party’s cookie and privacy policies, not ours.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Because we do not operate advertising trackers, disabling analytics cookies does not affect your ability to read any page.

Where GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases: consent for analytics and any non-essential tracking technologies; legitimate interests for maintaining the security and integrity of the site (server logs) and for understanding aggregate demand for our editorial coverage, balanced against your rights; and compliance with legal obligations where applicable.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers and partners needed to operate the site: our analytics provider (Google), our hosting provider (Vercel), and the affiliate retailers/networks whose links you choose to click. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.

International data transfers

Noolaguide is operated from the United States, and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where personal data of EU/UK residents is transferred, our providers rely on recognized transfer mechanisms (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) described in their respective privacy policies.

Data retention

We retain only what is necessary. Aggregate analytics data is retained according to the analytics provider’s configured retention window. Server logs are retained for a limited period by the host. Emails you send us are retained only as long as needed to handle your inquiry.

Your privacy rights

EU/UK (GDPR). You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data; the right to data portability; the right to withdraw consent at any time; and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

California (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used and shared; the right to delete and to correct personal information; the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. Noolaguide does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CPRA, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would trigger a right to limit. Under California’s “Shine the Light” law, we do not share personal information with third parties for their direct-marketing purposes.

Do Not Sell or Share / Global Privacy Control. Because we do not sell or share personal information, there is nothing to opt out of — but we honor browser-level opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) as a valid request to the extent any applicable processing exists.

To exercise any right, email hello@noolaguide.com. Given how little data we hold, most requests will result in confirmation that no personal data associated with you is held. We will verify requests as required by law and respond within the legally mandated timeframe.

Children’s privacy

Noolaguide is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Because there is no industry-standard interpretation of DNT, we do not respond to DNT signals specifically; however, we do not operate cross-site advertising tracking in any case, and we honor Global Privacy Control as described above.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the “Last updated” date above will reflect the revision. Material changes affecting how we use personal data will be described on this page. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
